When in New York, do as the New Yorkers do; and I did!!!

It's the second day in my second time in the U.S. and in NYC.
Right after this afternoon's session, I went to the Apple Store with Chenda (a Cambodian Fulbrighter), Abi (an Indoddenian Fulbrighter), and Bom (a Thai Fulbrighter). And yes, we took a subway just like any New Yorkers. After Da had purschased her new iPad mini, which I think she might blog about it, I asked the crew whether they wanted to have a street food like a hot dog in NY because I wanted to have one. Anyway, we did not because we decided to come back for dinner at school.

However, I did not do that. Right after checking at the school, I saw my lovely former teacher waiting for me at the lobby since we had an appointment go get food in New York, just like the New Yorkers do. We took the subway again. We got off on 42nd St. in Time Square and went looking for Five Guys - a so-called best burger chain in the U.S, which I've just heard of today. Yes, we had the burgers just like the New Yorkers do (or probably any Americans). Yeah, I must say that it's my favorite burger store now. The price is reasonable also with $9 for a very juicy bacon burger with a coke. You all should try. I've heard that it's everywhere in the U.S. now.

Next, we went to Cake Boss, a bakery that is featuring a show in TLC, and this teacher of mine bought me my delated birthday cake. Oh, by the way, my birthday was yesterday, the day we all arrived at SJU here. And of course, we had the super sweet and rich schocolate cake just like the New Yorkers do.

Rememeber! when in New York, do sas the New Yorkers do.

A little bit about me: I'm Ker, a Fulbrighter from Laos. Yeah, google it, and you will know where Laos is. I will go to Ohio University for my Social Change Communication program. I know... I know... Try googling it again, and you'll know what this program is like. :)

Enough for now. Ciao!
