นิวยอร์ก เย่ๆ >.<

I have no idea how my title will appear on your screen since you might have to fix the settings in your device to read it, but it's " New York yeyy >.<" in Thai, and yes I am very excited to be here. Blogging is not my thing and this is my first time blogging. (To me it's embarrassing since I'm doing a computer related degree) Even though this is my second time here, I am still very excited since my last visit had such a tight schedule and am still determined to see a broadway show since I didn't get a chance to see one last time.

Like most of you, I miss everything you could ever miss from your home, bed, blankets (god they are so thin!!!), food, my dog, the TV show that my mom watches at home, and the list goes on...  The thing that keeps me here and engaged in this program is not the free food or free trip to New York, but it is the diversity of interesting people that Fulbright provides. I learned SOOO much in two days, and the thing that caught my attention was that everyone was not just ahead in there academic life but also in their social life. One of the students in my class had two kids and three in my second class are newlywed, and I thought I had a lot to think about!(If being homesick is measured in numbers, it would have been multiplied my 10 If I had kids or a wife at home) I have no idea how I would manage my life if I were in their shoes since I couldn't imagine myself being like them in three years (i'm still 22) and I really look up to them for being able to manage both their academic and social life so well.

Embarrassing as it will sound, I have no sense of where counties are. Having slept through most of my social studies and history classes, I could only guess where most of you guys are.. well I know Japan, Russia(its pretty hard to miss looking at a map),South Korea(K-pop is popular in my country) Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia (neighboring counties to Thailand), and the next big jump is... Africa, but that's a continent not a country T^T, so I only have a continent view of things with a blurry map in my head, so it would help a lot if you added more details, and no "its next to XXX" does not help since I have no clue where XXX is.

In all its been only two days and I'm having so much fun (another me is crying like a baby to go back home) and I'm sure there will be a lot of things to write about since we are going to Time Square tomorrow and from my experience there, you could never get enough of that place!

  2. Since both of us still a kid, I also experience the same thing. Maybe you see me smile and teasing you but in the inside I also crying like a baby, I miss my mom. I really do. When I was working in Surabaya I rarely go home to spend sometime with her and that's my biggest regret in my life (tears start flowing from my eyes now)

  4. Do you all mind if I join the "few people" crew for broadway? Personally, I like a broadway show and other theatre performaces as I used to study at a conservatory school called Shenandoah University in Virginia, where I could see this type of performance for free.

Now, I haven't been to the NYC broadway show yet, but my friend who is a dancer/signer here might be able to recommend a good show. I'll ask her if you count me in the "a few people" crew.
