Today we've had the greatest class with Sofia. The idea of telling about your biggest fear about living in the US seemed strange at first, because I always thought that Fulbrighters are the bravest people and therefore have no fears. But now we know - we have a lot of them! And we are not ashamed to tell!)) even 4-5 times!
I'd like to mention 2 top fears here - 1) fear of freezing (many people might actually agree about that); 2) fear of being hungry (or egg diet). May be St. John's should organize a cooking course for next year Fulbrighters?;)
Fear of freezing is mine and fear of being hungry is Ker's since he cannot cook by himself yet. So what about you? are you afraid of the class feedback 2 days later?
ReplyDeleteHere's what is happening right now, and I'm deciding on what to do from here.
ReplyDeleteI'm really hungry but warm in my room or I can choose to go outside and freeze while trying to find food, and both options meets one of your mentioned fears ToT
Well, I agree with my roomate, not only because Elena is my roomate, but also because I am totally scared of Syracuse winter!!!
ReplyDeleteEverybody that listen that I will study at SUNY Syracuse they tell me... ooohhh!!!! snow snow snow!!!
Now, I am scared of the winter... I come from this beautiful and tropical country with a wonderfull weather of 30-34 celcius degrees during all the year.. without seasons... only dry season and raining season.. and now.. thanks to this experience that I will live... I will know how does the Yeti live!!!
So, if you want to share with me the snow! and to become a block of ice!! you are invited to my humble studio in Syracuse!
Bless...
Verónica...!
