"I love it here, and I don't wanna go" was a sentence I said during the meeting with IIE staff this Monday when they asked "How do you think about New York City?". It seemed to be funny at that time, and everyone laughed when they heard my answer. However, honestly speaking, I said it all from my heart. I love everything here. I am always excited to see things around. Maybe, it is simply because I come from a small city where there are only few places to visit or maybe because I have much more freedom here.
Before I came here, I was really seriously afraid of homesickness. I could not imagine how much I am gonna miss my family and my country. Nevertheless, now I have been here in New York City for almost two weeks, and well, so sorry mom and dad, I do not feel homesick at all. I have great fun here. My friends are from everywhere. They all are super awesome and friendly. I am still here, but I feel miss them already. I am sure I will greatly miss everyone, and all the things we have done here together. Time starts to fly faster when you want it to fly more slowly.
Chenda, I agree with you. I also liked everything in New York and this pre academic program is also very important for ur. But I would like to go to my respective University after this program. I am very lucky to have been accepted by Michigan State University, East Lansing, which was the university of my first choice when I filled the form given by IIE. This is the university where I have been thinking to study for the last five years. Therefore, I would like to come back to New York again in future, if time and situation are in favor. But I am too excited to go to the university of my first choice and study there.
